The privateer schooner Peggy, Captain Mansen, of Charleston, South Carolina, chased a sloop ashore near the Winyah Bar, at Georgetown, South Carolina. The sloop bilged and her cargo was lost except for a small quantity of indigo and a few other articles which were saved.
